FAQ

The initial launch of EaselCat will be on mobile. However, an adapted web version will also be available for users.

Since we are a team from Singapore, EaselCat will be registered in Singapore. The Terms of Service will hence be based on local laws and regulations.

Anyone is welcome to access and view our platform. However, to engage in commission transactions, users must have their paypal/bank accounts/credit card/debit card linked to the site. EaselCat has no actual means to restrict users based on age, but users must be old enough to have their own monetary transaction accounts to access the commissioning features.

We are still researching the feasibility of allowing NSFW and R18 materials on the platform. Unfortunately, Google Playstore and Apple Store prohibit such content. We are considering the option of allowing NSFW content only on the web version. In the scenario where NSFW is allowed, there will be a blur filter option which must strictly be applied to NSFW artworks. Furthermore, the following categories of artwork will not be allowed on the platform regardless of app or web version:

  • Depiction of Child pornography or abuse
  • Depiction of Animal pornography or abuse
  • Depiction of discrimination and hate crime
  • Depiction of violent gore

One of our unique selling points of EaselCat is that this platform will be curated. This means that only artists who pass a verification and quality check will be allowed to sell and accept commissions from other users. This ensures the site will be art theft- free*, maintain a high quality of commissions available, and ensure healthy commission prices in the marketplace among artists.

Yes. Once the app is in a stable state, we will be strongly considering adding payment/transaction options. However we do not have a current timeline on when we will plan to do that.

The benefit of having a curation process is that we will be able to verify that every artist is legitimate. However, should there ever be rare cases of art theft, users may report the artwork or the artist, and EaselCat will investigate and penalize accordingly. Penalization will be up to EaselCat's discretion, which can involve removal of art works, temporary bans, revoking of artist’s selling rights, or a permanent ban.

No.
